This Saturday NUTS & Co. are returning to our favorite venue due north. We’ve been playing the Bayou since 2006 and it is seriously one of the best rooms in the northeast. This room is always jamming with good people and some of the best bartenders in NY state. It’s true… we’ve heard they’ve even served some state senators and assemblymen. If you are in driving distance to downtown Albany this is not a show to miss. The Bayou is located at 79 N. Pearl St. Albany, NY. We also recommend if you feel like staying over, The Hampton In offers excellent accomodations mere yards away. Oh many a night we stumble in at 4am to a comfy, cushy bed.

Git NUTS Wit US!

Winter sminter! Our first snowfall of the season (not counting that 1 foot pounding we got Halloween weekend) is a reminder that winter is finally here one month late. That makes playing the 1 Year Anniversary party at Billy Joe’s this Friday all the more welcome. Just one year ago we helped to pop the cap off one of the biggest live venues in the area… and every show we’ve had since then has been a muthaload. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. So we’re calling all NUTS out to the Newburgh Waterfront this Friday to party like Hell hath frozen over! Ribs and Nuts… Two Tastes that belong together.

Saturday we round things up with the best live music venue in the history of Middletown… and that includes the the Iroquois Indian tent on 1638 and the Grand Dance Hall that closed in 1892. The Empty Bottle is like no other… big, full of liquid and ready to party. Now that’s what America is all about! Come out this Saturday and bookend your weekend with NUTS!

Happy Happy New Year Everyone!

We love new beginnings… 2011 was a great year for NUTS… but not so great for everyone else. Snowstorms, floods, hurricanes pretty much made it a challenging year to gig every weekend. Event our annual WRRV Boo Ball succumbed to the wrath of Mommy Nature! Hopefully in 2012 she’ll take an aspirin and a nap!

This Friday we kick off the year with our return to SHADOWS ON THE HUDSON… a room you’ll see alot more of us in 2012. Starting in March we’ll be booked every first Friday of the month. Great room with great sound, lights and the best bar service east of the Hudson. Seriously… drinks magically appear right in front of you. It’s as if the bartenders have ESP! Friday Night Live is happening every friday in 2012 with lots of great bands… Bill Toupee, Soul System. So if you’re not with NUTS on a Friday night and in Po-Town… stop by and check it out. Our show starts at 10pm. DJ Claw: AKA Pat McKeon will be spinning songs on a 40,000 watt sound system.

Saturday we return to SCHLESINGER’S E-BAR (…that’s short for Elephant Room). So many terrific times at this place. We don’t think of the Elephant Room as a placeholder for The Beach… it has it’s own vibe and nuttyness. Not to mention it has the best grilled beef in the entire Hudson Valley. Sometimes you can find various band members standing outside the kitchen like stray dogs looking for meat scraps. Well, everyone except for Bryan… he’s into the mashed potatoes. Go for dinner, smoke a cigar, stay for the band. You won’t regret it!
