The Summer 2012 is officially here in the Hudson Valley… at least it is in Nutsdom! This Friday and Saturday we are playing the Gateway to local summertime entertainment: Gully’s on Friday night and Schlesinger’s Beach on Saturday! And we can feel a good summer coming on.

FRIDAY MAY 19th | GULLY’S ON THE HUDSON- 2 Washington St. Newburgh, NY

Perfect weather for walking that ramp, drinking some Coronas and getting NUTTY on a summertime institution. For those who don’t know Gully’s is the location of our first ever NUTS IN A BLENDER gig on May 18th 2002. It was a Saturday show and we didn’t have enough material to span 3 sets. So Mike and Bryan tried to squeeze some time by playing acoustic for  the first set only to be yelled at by the legendary Dan Frank who was the manager then. Those were the days…  and how far we’ve come. Playing Gully’s on Friday brings us full circle! Show starts at 9pm.

SATURDAY MAY 19th | THE BEACH @ SCHLESINGER’S-275 Temple Hill Rd, New Windsor, NY

Saturday we return to open Schlesinger’s Beach. If anything this room shows how far the Hudson Valley has come… a backyard beach with lazers and CO2 cannons? A 25 ft waterscreen. A raised dancefloor that lights up like MJ in the Billie Jean video. Every year, Neal, Glynna, Hunter and Tyler work to provide something different. This year there’s a wading pool! Unbelievable! And from what we’ve heard some better drink prices.  The Beach shows us in the Hudson Valley how lucky we are to have great places to eat, drink and dance the night away. Who needs the Jersey Shore or Las Vegas? You have some of the best local venues any area could ask for. And when you see people from other places and bands from other states trying to gig here, you know that you live in the mecca. Celebrate it! Enjoy it!

This weekend is all about moms… and believe us we’re NUTS about moms! We have to action packed, song-spilling, fun-filled, “hold the Tabsaco” shows that we’re ready to start playing right now!

Saturday night is our Annual Mardi Gras party. This is a no holds bar visit to Bourbon St. complete with Mardi Gras beads, masks and Hurricane shots. We have some incredible video from year’s past. Holy DUBSTEP Batman. Patrick gave us a taste between sets what his show will be like as DJ Aux. Electrifying. And for the record Dub + Nuts = Nubstep! Great show at BJRW. We’ll be back in just two weeks to kick off a round of summertime shows there!

Our Own DJ Pat Mc Keon is stepping into his own this summer as DJ AUX headlining ‘The Pulse’ Electronic Dance Party every Friday night. Trust us, this will be the biggest dance event since the Pine Bush UFO Rave in 97. And Pat’s transformation into AUX will be no less amazing than Clark Kent transforming into Superman. Hopefully he won’t forget us ‘little nuts’ on his ascent to the top!
